Lighting Design
The technological development of the lighting industry, especially the introduction of new lighting sources such as the light-emitting diode (LED) have led to a radical change entire lighting strategy, thereby enabling completely new approaches for the design. The biological significance and importance of light is not always recognized by the lighting industry and the use of LED technology is mostly influenced by economic criteria. My long experience in the automotive industry Lighting industry as well as my inter-disciplinary research work in the area of light & color made me delve deeper into the topic in the broadest sense and gave me the basis for an optimized approach to lighting design. Based on my knowledge about human psychophysiology my aim is to fill this gap in the existing lighting industry.
It has been proven that 70% of our world population lives under artificial lighting conditions - which is why qualitative parameters must be taken and health-preserving ones. Lighting planning is becoming more and more indispensable for our society. After the automotive Lighting is very complex from a technological point of view, I have the option of technological transfers can also be implemented for architectural lighting. In order to fulfill the useful purpose, the importance of light must be understood in the “human” sense and the best possible way to provide prerequisites for, on the one hand, efficiency in the economic sense, but also for healthy lighting. Terms such as “dynamic light” and “biological light” have become “state of the art”, but have not yet been fully recognized and my work in this area is therefore aimed at this.
